Camp Info & Materials Needed

Thank you for registering for the Chicago Summer Music Camp! Here is the camp info and material needed from each student that enrolled in Little Mozart and Young Artist Camps (Not for Beginner Camp students)…

NEEDED MATERIAL – DUE 6/30 (only Little Mozart & Young Artist)

  • Playing Videos: one piece/movement – level appropriate (up to 5 min) // Sightreading Music emailed in June
  • Theory Placement Test: camp students must complete the worksheet to the best of their ability (WITHOUT HELP)
  • How to Submit Material: CREATE ONE Folder Named “Students’ Name – Camp 20__” in GOOGLE DRIVE with Theory Test & Playing Video & SHARE FOLDER as “EDITOR” (top right Share button) to hinsdale@amimusic.org

CAMP INFO

  • Camp Location: AMI Clarendon Hills Campus (60 55th St in Clarendon Hills)
  • Dates & Times: July 12-16, 2027
      – Beginner Camp 9-1pm (first day of camp drop-off starts @ 8am / Tues-Fri drop-off at 8:45-9am)
      – Little Mozart & Young Artist: 9-3pm (first day of camp drop-off starts @ 8am / Tues-Fri drop-off at 8:45-9am)
  • Camp T-shirt: $15 (campers will wear Camp T-shirt during Friday Concert)
  • Aftercare: Mon-Fri 1-5:30pm (during camp week) – $150
  • Private Lessons: let us know if you would like to schedule private instrument lessons during the camp as well… piano, violin, voice, guitar, etc
  • *** Concert – Fri 3-4pm – ALL STUDENTS ***

CAMP Pick Up/Drop Off Details

  • Drop-off and pick-up at north entrance of Christ Lutheran Church – 60 55th St in Clarendon Hills
  • Check-in: Monday (7/14) @ 8:15am. Please plan to arrive early on the first day to ensure your child is settled in by the time classes begin
  • Drop-off: Tues-Fri @ 8:45am
  • Pick-up: same entrance at the end of each day (1pm for beginners, 3pm Little Mozart/Young Artist, OR at 5:30pm if you registered for aftercare)
  • Please enter the building when picking up your child at the end of the day

CAMP Checklist

  • Bring Instrument (excluding piano)
  • Music stand (excluding piano)
  • Bring daily lunch & snack (NUT FREE – inform us of any allergies/dietary restrictions/medical issues your child may have, or emergency contact info)
  • Bottled water
  • Pencils
